With more than 21 years of experience in the mortgage industry, Lorena has helped over 1,000 families achieve homeownership while specializing in strategic financing solutions for complex transactions, first-time buyers, self-employed borrowers, and real estate investors. Her philosophy has always been simple: helping clients build long-term financial stability through real estate.

As the CEO of Colin Group Mortgage Brokers, Lorena combines extensive experience from national banks, retail lending, independent brokerage, and real estate sales to provide clients with a true competitive advantage. Her expertise includes FHA, VA, USDA, Conventional, Jumbo, Bank Statement, DSCR, ITIN, Foreign National, HELOC, and investor financing programs. She is widely recognized for her ability to structure difficult transactions, move loans efficiently, and provide exceptional communication throughout the lending process.

Throughout her career, Lorena has worked with respected institutions such as Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Caliber Home Loans, Supreme Lending, and multiple independent brokerages, experiences that shaped her deep understanding of underwriting, operations, leadership, technology, and customer service. Before launching her own company, she successfully managed branches, developed teams, and implemented systems focused on growth, efficiency, and client experience.

Her accomplishments have earned national recognition. Lorena was named a NAHREP Top Latino Originator in 2020, 2022, and 2023, and has consistently ranked among UWM’s Top 1% Loan Officers nationwide and in the State of Florida. She has also been recognized among the top purchase loan officers in the country, reflecting her strong relationships within the real estate and lending communities.

Beyond mortgages, Lorena has remained deeply involved in leadership and community advocacy. After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a law degree from UNIVA in Mexico, she relocated to the United States in 2004 pursuing new opportunities and a vision for growth. Her passion for education, leadership, and community empowerment led her to serve as an advisor to the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME), National Director of the Mexican American Coalition, and President of the NAHREP Tampa Bay Chapter in 2019.

As a national advocate, she coordinated leadership initiatives across the country, participated in immigration reform efforts, organized educational events, and became a voice for financial literacy and empowerment within the Latino community. She has participated in radio and television interviews, spoken at conferences and seminars, and traveled throughout the United States helping strengthen community engagement and leadership.

Lorena is also a published author of Tax Justice and Legal Elements of the Contracts, reflecting her long-standing commitment to legal education, financial awareness, and consumer advocacy.

Today, Lorena continues building more than a mortgage company — she is building a platform focused on education, opportunity, and generational wealth creation. Whether working with a first-time homebuyer, a seasoned investor, or a self-employed entrepreneur, her mission remains the same: provide honest guidance, creative solutions, and the confidence clients need to achieve their goals.

Lorena fue nombrada NAHREP Top Latino Originator en 2020, 2022 y 2023, y constantemente ha sido reconocida dentro del Top 1% de oficiales de préstamos de UWM tanto a nivel nacional como en el estado de Florida. También ha sido reconocida entre los mejores originadores de préstamos de compra del país, reflejando sus fuertes relaciones dentro de la comunidad inmobiliaria y financiera.

Más allá de las hipotecas, Lorena siempre ha mantenido una fuerte participación en liderazgo y trabajo comunitario. Después de graduarse Summa Cum Laude en Derecho por la Universidad UNIVA en México, se mudó a Estados Unidos en 2004 persiguiendo nuevas oportunidades y una visión de crecimiento profesional y personal.

Su pasión por la educación, el liderazgo y el empoderamiento comunitario la llevó a servir como asesora del Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior (IME), Directora Nacional de la Mexican American Coalition y Presidenta de NAHREP Tampa Bay en 2019.

Como líder comunitaria nacional, coordinó iniciativas de liderazgo en distintas ciudades de Estados Unidos, participó en esfuerzos de reforma migratoria, organizó eventos educativos y se convirtió en una voz de educación financiera y empoderamiento para la comunidad latina. También participó en entrevistas de radio y televisión, conferencias y seminarios educativos en todo el país.
